Meet Owner David Mackey

David Mackey fell in love with Avalon as a teenager. With a 40-year passion for Seven Mile Island, Avalon is a second home to his Philadelphia area roots. A licensed commercial real estate/land development professional, David has been a collector and purveyor of antique maps for 20 years and purchased the Philadelphia Print Shop in 2020.

Avalon: Long ago, the mythical island where King Arthur went to heal his wounds. Today, the magical isle where tides and dunes heal our wounds. Avalon Maps was founded to help capture some of that legacy through original and printed maps, as well as drawings, paintings, and historical items.

Testimonials from Loyal Customers

“I was constantly on the search for a historic Avalon map and I am so happy I came across Dave’s Philadelphia Print Shop. The map instantly reminds me of all of my favorite memories in Avalon, such as long beach days, swimming in the bay, pancakes at Uncle Bill’s, and Avalon Freeze!”
